Support for the CATS and Outreach teams

Two psychiatrists from Switzerland visited Africaid to support the outreach team in dealing with difficult cases. The CATS were also part of this important seminar. The meeting demonstrated high quality of counselling to be offered to the Zvandiri beneficiaries. Different cases were presented and the guests helped on how best such cases can be handled. The outreach team and the CATS realised the importance of tackling different cases at a cognitive (perceptive/reasoning) level and emotional level.

The team appreciated the time spent with the guests as it marked yet another new approach in the counselling systems at Zvandiri. This training will definitely have a great impact on the lives of children, adolescents and young people who come into contact with the team.
